Art at the Green Center
The Green Center is an unlikely place to find artwork, but people donate all types of items besides clothing and household appliances.
I was chatting with a friend who asked me when I was going to write another article about the Green Center. Unfortunately I've been negligent with my writing on all topics, not just the Green Center. Hopefully I can carve out some time and be more disciplined with posting on a regular basis. There are multiple chapters in my strange life.
Green Center donations
There is quite a variety of items that are brought to the Green Center. Mostly clothing but I am always on the lookout for the unusual and unexpected. There is an entire wall covered with wall art. Most of them are prints. but there are some originals.
The wedding gift
I was working at the Center when this large canvas arrived in May of 2019. I was told that this was a wedding gift from a tattoo artist. Someone did take it so it is probably gracing a wall somewhere. Unique isn't it?
A change of perspective
I thought this was a rather clever painting that arrived in September 2018.It too was quickly adopted by a patron.
Sculpture
There is a fair amount of sculpture at the green center, but I don't remember seeing anything original. Some of it is rather odd.
I adopted David and Venus to add a little class to my office. They are not the originals.
