New Ipswich Autumn Festival (2023)

The New Ipswich Autumn Festival 2023 was the busiest one that I remember. Rain was predicted, but it stayed dry the entire day. There was literally something for everyone.

Sauna

This is the first year I remember seeing a sauna at the fair. Finn Country Sauna LLC had a working mobile unit on a flatbed. Carl Toko showed me the proper protocol.

Up, Up and Away

Tethered balloon rides were offered for a bird's eye view of the venue. Seeing the giant balloon added to the ambience of the festival,

Speaking of Balloons

On a much smaller scale a "Balloon Lady" fashioned balloon hats and crowns for the kids.

Food

In a cloud of smoke, chickens and burgers were prepared for the throngs. Meanwhile author and re-enactor M. Allyson Szabo demonstrated cooking techniques from the 18th Century.

People

I spent most of my time speaking with folks at Historical Society table, but it was fun to walk around and visit with the local folks and a beautiful Jersey cow.

Touch a Truck

"Touch a Truck" is something I wish they had when I was a kid. A chance to climb into the drivers seat of a big truck or fire truck.
