On This Day - October 3rd
I was amazed at the number of photos that I had taken on the third day of October. This is just a subset of a larger group.
When I started the "On This Day" project, I wasn't sure I would have enough photos for a daily posting. However over the years, it appears I might have at least one photo for each day. For this day, I was overwhelmed with choices. October is a wonderful time in New England. Fall foliage and Autumn festivals offer many photo opportunities.
2021 - Mac
This was my first time to meet my daughter's new kitten named Mac (or is it Mack). The name came before the gender was identified. Mac is a female and a very pretty one.

2020 - Dahlias
Bob Romeril is the Dahlia Whisperer of New Ipswich. He grows a variety of types and shares tubers with everyone. At this time of year he manages to protect them against several killing frosts.

2019 - Tulsi Gabbard
When you live in New Hampshire, the home of the "first in the nation" Presidential Primaries, you have the opportunity to meet almost all the candidates. I never pass on the chance to have a photo taken with them (even if I disagree with their views). I liked Tulsi's comments on the Burn Pit dangers. Some of her other views not so much.

2016 - Geese
The first of the bird photos for this post. I took this photo with a Nikon Coolpix P900, a "super telephoto". Years later I took a spill on some rocks at Odiorne Point in Rye, NH. I tried to protect the camera with my body but both got damaged. The camera no longer exists.

2014 - Morning Light
On my morning walk, the sun is low in the sky. On this morning it formed crepuscular rays in the mist.

2013 - Lucky Duck
I got lucky with this photo. The camera wasn't set up with a burst shutter mode. Just a single shot. The focus wasn't too bad and the shutter was adequate. When the ducks took off it startled me a bit. I would only want to use a camera to shoot them, not a gun.
