Wooden Toy Display
Display of wooden toys built by Betty J. Poltrack at the Whipple Free Library in New Boston, NH

I love the smell of sawdust
Betty J Poltrack

My mother has always enjoyed woodworking. I still use some of the bookshelves she built for us in the 1950s. When she learned that she was going to become a Grandmother, she signed up for an adult education class in woodworking and built a number of wooden toys and two doll houses. Those items are being displayed at the Whipple Free Library in New Boston for the month of February.
These toys have gained a lot of playtime. My children have outgrown them, but now are a popular item with Alexander, Betty's great grandson.
The library staff was kind enough to provide furnishings for the dollhouse that Betty built for my daughter.
